System Maintenance
Maintenance functions are available from the maintenance bar. Maintenance functions include: upgrading firmware, resetting the configuration to factory default standards, rebooting the device, and logging out of the interface.
The following represents the Maintenance Menu bar:
Upgrading
You can upgrade the firmware using two methods.
Follow this procedure to upgrade the Firmware using Upload File method
- Click to start the upgrade process.
- In the Upgrade Methoddrop-down, select Upload File option.
- Click Browse to the select the location where you have stored your new firmware file.
- Select the new firmware file and click Open.
- In the Partition drop-down, select the required partition for the upgrade process.
- Click Apply and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Firmware Upgrade.
- A prompt displays to confirm the Firmware Upgrade.
The Upgrade process may require a few minutes to complete.
Follow this procedure to upgrade the Firmware using SonicWall Cloud Server method
- Click to start the upgrade process.
- In the Upgrade Method drop-down, select SonicWall Cloud server option.
- In the Available Firmwares drop-down, select the required firmware you want to upgrade.
- Click to fetch the latest firmwares from SonicWall Cloud server.
- In the Partition drop-down, select the required partition for the upgrade process.
- Click Apply and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Firmware Upgrade.
- A prompt displays to confirm the Firmware Upgrade.
The Upgrade process may require a few minutes to complete.
Resetting
The Reset function will delete all configuration information from the current device.
Follow this procedure to reset the Switch back to factory default settings

Click to start the reset process.

When a prompt displays, click Apply to confirm the reset or Cancel to quit the procedure.
Rebooting
Follow this procedure to reboot the Switch
- Click to start the reboot process.

When a prompt displays, click Apply to confirm the reboot process or Cancel to quit the procedure.
Logging Out
Follow this procedure to log out the current profile from the user interface
- Click icon in the Maintenance menu bar.

When a prompt displays, click OK to confirm the logout or Cancel to quit the logout.
- You are logged out from the Switch application.
