Adding SD-WAN Topology

To add SD-WAN Topology

  1. Navigate to Manager View | Home > SD-WAN Topology page.
  2. Click the Add icon.

  3. Click Begin.
  4. Add Basic Information.

    Config Name

    Enter a configuration name in the Config Name field.

    If this field is left blank, the system automatically assigns a name to this template.

    Traffic Type

    Choose traffic type between Internetand Branch Data Center.

    • Internet: Select the Internet type for all internet-based applications such as ring central, office 365 etc.
    • Branch Data Center: Select the Branch Data Center type for applications that are running on the data center. A VPN Topology needs to be created as a prerequisite for this option, so that VPN tunnels are available for Path selection. For more information about adding a new topology, refer to IPSec VPN Topology.
    Description Enter a description to identify the configuration.
    Tags Enter a tag to identify.
  5. Click Next to define service and application rules.

    1. Add a Service Rule according to Adding a Service Rule.

    2. Click the Application Rule tab and define an app rule.

      1. Select the Device Type.

        You can switch between SonicOS and SonicOSX. Changing the device type resets the applications.

      2. Select an Application Object from the Applications drop-down menu.

        You can select a predefined Application Object from the drop-down menu (if any) or create a new app object. For more information, refer to Adding application objects.

  6. Click Save.
