Adding a Device

To add a device to firewall inventory

  1. Log in to NSM.

  2. Navigate to the Manager View | Home > Firewalls > Inventory page.

  3. Click Add > Add Device.
  4. Enter device details.

  5. Enable Reporting to manage and store the reporting data.

    Before enabling reporting, make sure that:

    • Reporting is enabled on the NSM on the Manager View | System > Settings > Administration > Deployment settings tab.
    • User has provisioned reporting and analytic license for a firewall.

  6. Do one of the following:

    • Enable Auto Assign reporting Agent if you want NSM to assign the reporting agent based on the availability.
    • Select the preferred Reporting Agent you want to assign to the device.

  7. If you have migrated from GMS/Analytics 2.5:

    • Enable View External Reports to view the reports through external agents.
    • Select the GMS/Analytics 2.5 External Agent to store the data.

  8. Click Save.
