Adding External Users for Notifications

External users can be added to receive notifications. External users, along with the account admin, receive alerts based on the Notification Priorities and Digest Settings defined under Manager View | Home > Log & Alerts > Settings > Email.

This feature is available only to users with the Admin privileges in the Firewall Management.

To add external users for notifications

  1. Navigate to Manager View | Home > Log and Alerts > Settings > Email tab.
  2. Add external users in the Additional email recipients box.

    You can add up to 50 emails, separated by commas.

  3. Configure Notification Priorities:

    Priority Type Default Setting Allowed Change
    Emergency Immediately Cannot be changed, stays as Immediately
    Alert Immediately Cannot be changed, stays as Immediately
    Critical Immediately Can be changed to Digest
    Error Digest Can be changed to Immediately
    Warning Digest Can be changed to Immediately
    Notice Digest Can be changed to Immediately
    Inform Digest Can be changed to Immediately
    Debug Digest Can be changed to Immediately
    Mixed Digest Can be changed to Immediately
  4. Configure Digest Settings:

    • Default Digest settings:

      • Frequency: Weekly
      • Day of the Week: Monday
      • Time: 00:00
    • You can modify the schedule to Daily or Weekly and set your preferred day and time.

  5. Click Accept to save the changes.

 

  • Immediately alerts are sent through email as soon as they occur.
  • Digest alerts are grouped and sent through email according to the digest schedule you configure, in CSV format.
