Committing and Deploying the Updates

 

• You can Commit and Deploy from both Tenant level and All Tenants. From All Tenants level, you can select all or multiple tenants except the tenants with Approver Workflow. For more information, refer to Approval Workflow Settings.
• You can commit and deploy the changes for tenants who has Approver Workflow from Tenant level only. Changes of a firewall belonging to a tenant whose Approval Workflow is enabled will be deployed only after the tenant approves the commit changes.

After configuration updates are performed on devices through Firewall Management either in Firewall View or by applying templates, you can review the updates, and then commit (so that the changes are locked) and deploy the changes to the device(s) for the updates to be effective.

The commit and deploy action can be performed in any of following ways:

• In the Firewall View: Commit & Deploy wizard allows you to commit and deploy updates for a firewall. After the configuration changes are made to any device, the Commit and Deploy menu item notifies configuration updates that are awaiting commit and deploy. For more information, refer to Committing and Deploying Updates in the Firewall View.
• In the Manager View: From the Commit & Deploy wizard, you can commit and deploy configuration updates to the firewall(s). For more information, refer to Committing and Deploying Updates to Device(s) in the Manager View.
