Committing and Deploying Updates to Device(s) in the Manager View

From the Commit & Deploy wizard in the Manager View, you can commit and deploy configuration updates to the device(s).

To commit and deploy updates

  1. Navigate to the Manager View.

  2. View pending configuration updates. Do one of the following to view pending configuration updates:

    • Click Commit & Deploy in the upper-right corner of any page in the Manager View.
    • Navigate to Manager View | Home > Config Management > Commits and click New Commit.

    The Commit & Deploy Pending Changes dialog box displays.

  3. Click the caret icon next to each device name in the Devices section to review the pending configuration updates.

  4. Select the device(s) to commit and deploy pending configuration updates on the selected device(s).

     

    • From All Tenants level, you can select all or multiple tenants or firewalls except the tenants with Approver Workflow. For more information, refer to Approval Workflow Settings.
    • From Tenant Level, you can commit and deploy the changes for tenants who has Approver Workflow.

  5. Click Next.

  6. select either of the options in the SCHEDULE TIME section:

    • Click Deploy Now to commit and deploy the changes instantly.

    • Click Set Schedule to commit the changes immediately, and to schedule the deploy operations for a future date—within the next 30 days from now.

      Click Commit to commit items at the scheduled time.

  7. Click Next.
  8. Review the changes in Commit & Deploy Pending Changes section before committing .

  9. Click Commit.

     

    • The status of commit is displayed in the COMMIT STATUS section.
    • For scheduled deployment, the configuration changes will be deployed at the scheduled time.
    • For instantaneous deployment, configuration changes will be deployed shortly after committing the changes.

  10. Click Redirect to All Commits to view the commits and their status. For more information, refer to Monitoring Commits.

Deployment will be pending, if any firewall is offline when the changes are committed. Changes will be deployed if the firewall comes online within 15 minutes, otherwise, deployment will be canceled for that particular firewall.
