Licensing Requirements

With the release of SonicOS 8, SonicWall is offering licensing tiers to support the firewalls.

The licensing tiers are identified as follows:

  • Secure Connect Lite

    Supporting TZ80

  • Secure Connect

    Supporting TZ80

  • Advanced Protection Security Suite

    Supporting SonicOS 8

  • Managed Protection Security Suite

    Supporting SonicOS 8

Some form factors can also offer Hardware Only (a naked firewall with no license/software subscription). For more information, refer to: TZ80 Licensing.

Unified Management License Subscriptions

Unified Management has the following license packaging options:

  • Monthly subscription:

    With this option, you can pay a monthly subscription fee for 24/7 access to Unified Management. This option is excellent for organizations with unpredictable or fluctuating cloud security needs.

  • Annual subscription:

    With this option, you can pay a yearly subscription fee for 24/7 access to Unified Management. This is an excellent option for organizations with predictable cloud security needs and who would like to save money on the overall cost of the platform.
