SonicOS 8 Migration Requirements Reference Guide

Supported Models
SonicOS 8 TZ and NSa firewalls support in‑product migration from selected legacy SonicWall firewalls. This allows you to import the settings from certain legacy firewalls running specific firmware versions. If the firewall is running an older, or unauthorized version, the setting file cannot be migrated.
Full Match Migration Paths
The following table lists predefined full‑match migration paths where all configuration elements on the source firewall align with the target SonicOS 8 device, allowing a seamless import. For more information, see Understanding Your Migration Options.

Firmware Requirements
Only certain releases are supported for migration to the latest SonicOS 8 firewalls, so refer to the following tables to see which models are compatible:
