Understanding Your Migration Options
Your current device type determines the migration strategy and the steps required to migrate earlier SonicOS platforms to SonicOS 8 devices. With the release of SonicOS 8 firewall platforms, direct migration from a legacy source device (SonicOS 7, SonicOS 6/6.5, and SOHO-SonicOS 5) to SonicOS 8 target devices is supported.
Settings migration between SonicOS 8 models is supported from low-end models to high-end models. For example: TZ280 → NSa 6800. Migration in the reverse direction is not supported.
