Upgrading to NSM 3.2.0 on HyperV

To upgrade existing NSM to NSM 3.2.0

  1. Upgrade existing NSM to NSM 3.1.1HF1(if not present on NSM 3.1.1HF1). Refer Upgrading NSM using SWI file

    Directly upgrading to NSM 3.2.0 is not supported.

  2. Create a backup of NSM On-Premises version 3.1.1HF1. Refer Create a NSM File System Backup.

    1. If data is backed up in the internal disk then follow steps under Upgrading NSM with Backup On Internal Disk.

      If the size of the backup is more than 30 GB, upgrading NSM using internal disk is not supported. Add external disk, refer to Adding External Hard Disk for Reporting and Analytics Data and create a backup on external disk referring to Create a NSM File System Backup.

    2. If data is backed up in the external disk then follow steps under Upgrading NSM with Backup On External Disk.

  3. Restore the backup. Refer Restore NSM to a File System Backup.
