How do I transfer a unit from one MySonicWall.com account to another?

Description
This article describes how to transfer a SonicWall product, along with its services, from one MySonicWall.com account to another.
Resolution
- Log onto your MySonicWall.com account.
- Under My Workspace on the left menu click on Products.
- Locate the Serial Number of the device(s) you would like to transfer.
- Select the products you want to transfer and click Transfer Products.
- Under transfer products select User account.
- You will be asked for the destination email address.
- Once the details are entered click on the Transfer button.
NOTE:
- Devices can only be transferred to email addresses with existing myconicwall.com accounts.
- If a device is shared from a different account to your account, you will not be able to transfer the unit (only registered account admin can transfer the device).
- If the device is pending on secure upgrade promotion the device cannot be transferred.
- For transfer of SECaaS or FWaaS unit, kindly contact your internal Sales Rep, or contact the SonicWall Sales team.
- Entering Customer Name while transferring a product, will create a new Tenant with the name entered, in the destination MSW account.
- If there is an association between a device and another device or service, we cannot transfer the device.
TIP: Products like Hosted Email Security ( HES ), Capture Client ( CC ), Cloud Edge can be self-transferred successfully. However, the Cloud App Security ( CAS ) cannot be transferred.
In the event the account to which the product is registered is no longer available or you are unable to access that account, the above transfer process is not possible. In such circumstance, kindly contact SonicWall Customer Service Team for further assistance.
