There was a behavioral change in launching Connect Tunnel by windows for version 1709 as compared with 1703 or earlier versions.
Windows 10 has changed the behavior of launching Connect Tunnel with the help of System Tray. Version 1709 acts different than version 1703 or prior versions.
- The change in behavior of launching Connect Tunnel with help of System Tray is not introduced by SonicWALL.
- Changes are observed on Windows 10 builds 1709 or later.
Below screenshots should help end users with the process as it appears in version 1709 versus version 1703 and earlier.
1. How to Check Windows 10 version:
Use Windows "Run" or open "Command Prompt" | type 'winver' | Click Enter
2. Select Network option on Right Lower Corner on Windows 10 1709 build.
a. Opens Network Window under Control Panel which allows user to select VPN Adapter.
b. Whereas on Windows 10 build 1703 or earlier it would launch Connect Tunnel Client prompting for Username and Password.
Note: End Users could use Connect Tunnel Desktop Icon for launching of VPN Client.
