Description
This article demonstrates how to set up configuration on the sonicwall to make one sonicpoint to broadcast one SSID and other sonicpoint to broadcasts the different SSID when both are connected to two different interfaces on the sonicwall . In this article we are taking the scenario where the one sonicpoint is connected to the x2 interface of the sonicwall and deployed in Floor 1 which broadcasts the SSID “Sonicwall Floor1” and other sonicpoint is connected to x3 interface on the sonicwall and deployed in Floor 2 which broadcasts the SSID “Sonicwall Floor2".
Deployment steps:
Step 1: Configuring custom zones with security type as wireless .
Step 2: Configuring interfaces on sonicwall .
Step 3: Adding custom sonicpointN provisoning profiles .
Step 4: Pushing the custom sonicpointN provisoning profile under the zones .
Step 5: Synchronizing the sonicpoints to operational status .
Resolution
Step 1: Configuring custom zones with security type as wireless
In this section you will create and configure a new wireless zone.
1. Log into the management interface of your SonicWall UTM appliance.
2. In the left-hand menu, navigate to the Network | Zones page.
