When a WAN interface is configured to DHCPv6 client with Prefix Delegation enabled, it could get a "Delegated Prefix" from upstream ISP.
Navigate to Network > System > Interfaces > Interfaces Settings.
On the Interfaces Settings tab, click on IPv6.
Hover over the X1 WAN interface that you want to configure and click the Edit icon. The Edit Interface dialog box is displayed.
In the IP Assignment drop-down menu, select DHCPv6.
Enable DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation mode, firewall can use the delegated prefix to X1 WAN self interface.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Click on Add button to add interface IPv6 Address.
Select the radio button Add Downstream IPv6 Address Delegated from DHCP-PD.
Select the Prefix from Delegated Prefix Assignment drop down.
Enter the Preferred IPv6 Address.
Enter the Preferred Prefix Length.
Click OK, to save the settings.
This enhancement extends that capability by allowing the WAN interface itself to derive and assign an IPv6 address from the same delegated prefix.
