Enabling SafeMode

Safe Mode can be enabled directly by typing a command inside a CLI session.

To enable Safemode

1. Open the NSv VM console from the platform where NSv is deployed.

   SafeMode cannot be accessed using SSH.

2. Sign in using the NSv administrator credentials.

3. Enter the command safemode and press Enter.

   A confirmation message displays.

4. Enter yes and press Enter.

   

5. Watch the console output carefully during boot.

6. Select the SonicCoreX option, and press Enter.

   If no action is taken, the highlighted entry is executed automatically after 4 seconds.

   The NSv boots into SafeMode.

To switch between the SonicCoreX and SonicOS CLIs, press Ctrl + S + Space.
