Upgrade NSM Agents in Distributed Deployment

To upgrade NSM Agents in Distributed Deployment

1. Upgrade existing NSM Agent node to NSM 3.1.1HF1(if not present on NSM 3.1.1HF1). Refer Upgrading NSM using SWI file

   Directly upgrading to NSM 3.2.0 is not supported.

2. Login to the NSM 3.1.1HF1 instance in a web browser.

3. Navigate to System | Dashboard.

4. Copy the Serial Number present under SYSTEM INFORMATION.

   

5. Power down the NSM 3.1.1HF1 Agent node.

6. Unmount the Hard disk from NSM 3.1.1HF1 Agent node as per your platform. Refer

   • HyperV - Unmounting the Hard Disk

   • ESXi - Unmounting the Hard Disk

   • KVM - Unmounting the Hard Disk

   • Azure - Unmounting the Hard Disk

7. Perform a fresh installation of NSM On-Premises version 3.2.0 as per your platform. Refer

   • HyperV - Installing NSM on HyperV

   • ESXi - Installing NSM on ESXi

   • KVM - Installing NSM on KVM

   • Azure - Installing NSM on Azure

8. Register NSM On-Premises version 3.2.0 Agent node with same serial number as 3.1.1HF1 Agent node. Refer Registering NSM.
