Mounting the Hard Disk

To mount the disk

1. Login to Azure Portal via Azure Portal.

2. Click Virtual Machines.

3. Click the NSM 3.2.0 VM.

4. Click Stop to shutdown the VM.

   

5. Navigate to Settings > Disks.

   

6. Click Attach existing disks. Select the disk that you detached from step 4 of Unmounting the Hard Disk

   

7. Click Apply.

8. Power on the NSM 3.2.0.

9. Launch the console. Refer Connecting to Console.

10. In the CLI console type "show disks".

    

11. Activate the disk. Type “disk activate”. It will reboot the VM and mount the disk on boot. Please enter the password when prompted.

    The password is the encryption key that you had configured while adding external disk in NSM 3.1.1.

    Do not perform disk initialize command while upgrading. It will delete all the data from the disk if disk initialize is performed.

    

12. After the VM reboots, the disk will be active.
