SMA500v: When you configure a dual interface network, such as ETH0 and ETH1, the X1 default gateway is reverted to the X0 gateway when the SMA is rebooted.

Description

SMA500v on Azure post reboot the SMA X1 default Gateway reverted to X0

Cause

When you configure a dual interface network, such as ETH0 and ETH1, the X1 default gateway is reverted to the X0 gateway when the SMA is rebooted.

The problem is that when we change the Gateway for the X1 interface, we can access the SMA appliance.  However, after rebooting the SMA on Azure, the default GW of the X1 interface will be removed and replaced with the X0 default GW.

This only affects Azure deployments.

Resolution

This is by design, and currently support only a single interface with Azure Cloud.

NOTE: In cloud environment, the network is maintained by Cloud provider. Do not suggest to change it, it will cause the device become inaccessible.
