How to put NSv in Azure in Safemode

Description

This article explains about the steps to put the NSv deployed in Azure in Safemode from Console and the steps to access the Safemode page  

Resolution

Step 1) Connect to the Azure NSv management console using Serial Console option in Azure or by using SSH 

Username to login is "management", which is the SSH management user name defined during the NSv deployment
Password is the SSH management password defined during deployment.

Post successful login you will notice the below Console Window

Step 2) Using the arrow keys, select Reboot | Shutdown and then navigate to Boot SonicWALL into safemode option. Below screenshot shows the same

Step 3) User the enter key to edit the selection. Now you will see a dialogure box with Yes and No like below

Step 4) Please select Yes and hit Enter to confirm the action of Booting SonicWall into safe mode. Now you will see a message that SonicWALL is now rebooting into Safemode. Please wait. Below is a screenshot showing the same

Step 5) Now the firewall is in Safemode page and can only be accessed via HTTP because in SafeMode, the web management interface is only available by way of http (not https).
When you access the Safemode page, you will be prompted for the
Azure Subscription ID like below

 The Subscription ID can be copied from the Azure portal as below

Step 6) Once the Subscription ID is copied from Azure Portal and pasted on the NSv Safemode page, the Safemode page is accessible and the necessary action can be performed. Below is the Safemode page
