How can I register a Not For Resale (NFR) product in MySonicWall account?

This article describes how a Partner can register Not For Resale NFR products in their MySonicWall Account. 

What is a Not For Resale (NFR) SonicWall firewall?

The Not For Resale (NFR) option allows partners to use SonicWall products in their test labs, live demonstrations, or internal environment.

Not for resale (NFR) devices are for partner use only. These units should to be registered only on a Partner account.

 End users/customers cannot register a NFR firewall on a customer account.  They will have to reach out to their Sales representative and convert their customer account to a partner account to register the NFR firewall.

 

 

 

Resolution


  • Go to www.mySonicWall.com and log in using the registered username/email address and password.

  • Under My Workspace Click Register Products

  • Choose a tenant (Product Group), Enter the Serial Number/Activation Key/Assign Token

  • Enter the Friendly Name for your product (optional), Authentication Code*, Select Choose Management Options

  •  The management option as “On Box” or “On Cloud” (For cloud based products only) can be selected. After selecting the Management options, click Done.

TIP: Authentication Code can be found on the silver label on the bottom exterior of your unit.

NOTE: Friendly Name and Product Group are not mandatory and can be changed at any time. These are used to identify the devices based on the name.
