MST Instances

Clicking on MSTP > MST Instances tab helps you to change the MST Instances settings.

Click on to add an MST Instance.

You can edit the following options from this tab:

  • VLAN List: The VLAN ID number range is from 1 to 4094.

  • Priority

When Switches or bridges are running MSTP, each is assigned a priority. After exchanging BPDUs, the Switch with the lowest priority value becomes the root bridge. The range is from 0-61440. The bridge priority is a multiple of 4096.

You can further add more MST instances clicking on the add icon.
