Deploying NSM On-Premises on KVM

This section explains how to install the NSM On-Premises on KVM environment. A .lva file is available for installation in the KVM environment. For KVM support you will need to have virsh, libvirtd installed, and are recommended to have virt-manager installed.

The application can be opened by either running the virt manager command, $ virt-manager, or by opening it through your system.

virt-manager uses libvirt virtualization API, which provides a common interface for managing virtual machines for KVM. It can manage both local and remote virtual machines, allowing users to administer VMs hosted on different physical servers.

The .lva file is available for NSM 3.5.0 and above versions.

For automatic or customized installation support you must also have bash version above 4.40, and are recommended to have dialog or whiptail installed, but these are not mandatory.

To manage all the created instances, refer Managing Instances.
