NSM On-Premises Licensing Model

The NSM On-Premises licensing model is described below:

  • Subscription are available for 1-year, 3-year, or 5-year periods.
  • One base license supports up to five firewalls only for configuration management without reporting and analytics.
  • NSM On-Premises firewall management licensing is node based, with a base license of five nodes and add-on licenses for additional nodes after that. The reporting and analytics licenses are based on per firewall.
  • Reporting and analytics is supported for only Gen 7 and Gen 8 devices.
  • EPSS 7-day basic reporting is not supported in On-Premises.

The licensing model is described as below:

  • Gen 7 and Gen 8 Devices

    New Gen 7 license model is applicable only for new license purchased with a new firewall or renewal of an existing license.

    • TZ80 devices will be available only as a bundle. SonicWall Firewall Management will be bundled as a service in a firewall license bundles.
    • TZ80 devices will function only with a valid license.

      TZ80 hardware will not function after a 30 days trail period without a valid license.

    • TZ80 devices have to be bundled with Secure Connect license or Advanced Protection Service Suite (APSS) license.
    • SonicWall Firewall Management will not support 7-days SonicWall Flow Report (SFR) for TZ80 firewalls. The TZ80 device and related data, including any reporting and analytics data stored in SonicWall Firewall Management, will be deleted from SonicWall Firewall Management after 90 days of the TZ80 bundle license expiry.
