Exporting a Copy of your Current Configuration Settings

Before migrating, export a copy of your SonicWall Product Series systems configuration settings to your local machine. The export configuration option saves a copy of the current configuration settings, protecting all your existing settings if it becomes necessary to return to a previous configuration state.

For example, The default settings file is named sonicwall-TZ 500--xxxx-xx-xxxxx_xx_xx.xxxZ.exp (where TZ 500--xxxx-xx-xxxxx_xx_xx.xxx is the time of the export from the appliance).
