Can administrator access AMC console from both Internal & External interfaces

Question:

AMC console access can be accessed from both Internal & External interfaces from Ver-10.6.1 onwards.

Resolution/Workaround:

Here are the steps to access AMC console from both Internal & External interfaces.

Step 1: SSH to appliance, run the following command to check on which interface AMC port (8443) is listening on.
Step 2:  Here are the steps 10.6.1

1. Log in to AMC.
2. Click on Maintenance in the left-hand navigation menu.
3. In the URL, append "?advanced=1", and hit return.
4. Click on Configure under the new section Configuration extensions.
5. Click New
6. For the Key field, put in: AMC_EXTERNAL_INTERFACE
7. For the Value field, put in: 1
8. Click OK.
9. Click Save,
10. Apply Changes (this will force an apply-all, making the changes take effect).

Step 3: Now SSH to appliance and Run the command to check AMC port 8443 listens on both the interface as shown in the screenshot



Administrator should be able to access AMC console on both the interfaces now.
