Changing Password in Bulk

You can perform the bulk password change to the devices by configuring a template with text or variables.

To perform bulk password change

  1. Navigate to Manager View | Home > Templates page.
  2. Do one of the following in which template you want to define the password configurations:

    • Click Ellipses icon in the ACTION column of the template and select Edit Template.
    • Click the template name from the list.

  3. Click Change Password under Firewall Administrator > ADMINISTRATOR NAME & PASSWORD group.

  4. Define the password in one of the following ways:

    • Enter plain text in the password fields.
    • Create or select variables for each field.

       

      • Make sure that a variable created or selected is of Cypher type.
      • Use the same variable for New Password and Confirm Password fields or different variables for New Password and Confirm Password.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Apply the template to the device groups or devices. For more information, refer to Applying Template to Device Groups or Devices.
  7. Resolve the template variables before applying to device group(s) or device(s) if variables are used for password fields. For more information, refer to Resolving a Variable.
  8. Commit and deploy the changes. For more information, refer to Committing and Deploying Updates to Device(s) in the Manager View.
