Change Logs
This section is applicable only for NSM SaaS.
This section provides you with the tools to view and generate changes made with in NSM and outside of the NSM. The Change Logs feature is implemented for the limited features listed on the Supported Settings on the Firewall View | Monitor > Logs > Change Logs page . For more information, refer to Local Change Report.
Change Logs are generated for the scheduled or instant rules run for local change reports on the Manager View | Home > Reports > Rules page. For more information, refer to Creating a Rule for Local Change Reports.
- You need to have NSMAdvanced Reporting and Analyticslicense to view and manage Auditing Logs.
- Change Logs are available for Gen7 and GEN8 firewalls.
You can view the Change Logs in List and Log view.
In the List view, alerts are categorized and added under separate tabs, User Name, source IP, Source Location, Destination IP, Destination Location, Change Type, Time Period, Change Source, and Session Type. Click the respective tab to see the alerts under that particular category.
From the list view, you can:
- Use the Search button to search the information in the table.
- Custom option that lets you customize the time duration of the report. You can see the alerts for last 30 days.
- Further filter the table according to a specific time by using the Time Slider which is present above the table.
- Filter the information by Change Source, All, NSM, Local.
- Limit the entries displayed on the page. Default limit is 50. You can set between 10 to 8000.
- Export the filtered alert data into a CSV file.
In the Log view, the alerts are categorized in to Successful Change Logs and failed Change Logs.
From the log view, you can:
- Use the Search button to search the information in the table.
- Use the Custom Filters to filter the table.
- Custom option that lets you customize the time duration of the report. You can see the alerts for last 30 days.
- You can further filter the table according to a specific time by using the Time Slider which is present above the table.
- Filter the information by Group By.
- Limit the entries displayed on the page. Default limit is 50. You can set between 10 to 8000.
- Export the filtered alert data into a CSV file.
- Customize the columns to show or hide in the table.
