Once you generated the GMS snapshot file, you need to upload it to the NSM system.
To transition the snapshot to NSM
Navigate to System > Settings > GMS Transition.
Click Upload to upload the snapshot.
Provide the IP address of the GMS primary console.
Be sure the GMS server is reachable from this NSM server.
Click Upload.
The file is now available to import. The import process does not start automatically.
To transition the GMS data to NSM
On the GMS Transition page, click Import.
Click OK to confirm that you want to start importing the snapshot. NSM starts extracting the file and you can start monitoring the status in the GMS Transition Status section. The following is an example of what you might see in the status section.
Navigate to System > Settings > External Analytics and verify that GMS reporting is listed. The following a sample output.
Historical reports from GMS are available in the Firewall view.
Navigate to Home > User Management> Users and see that the GMS users were successfully uploaded. The following shows a sample output.
To verify that the report rules imported properly, navigate to Home > Reports > Rules.
Select Edit Schedule and see that the reports were added as options to select.
Syslog rules are converted into flow reporting rules since NSM does not support Syslog reports.
