Secure Backups

If you are working with a firewall already existing in your configuration, you should make a system backup prior to configuring the firewall to work with Cloud Secure Edge. The backup is a snapshot of your current system state, SonicOS image, and configuration preferences. The snapshot becomes the new system backup image.

To make a firewall backup

  1. On your SonicWall firewall, navigate to Device | Settings > Firmware and Settings.
  2. Click Create Backup.
  3. If you want to Retain Local Backup, enable the switch and add a description to the Comments field.
  4. Click OK.
