Security Insights

Security Insights helps you assess the firewall's configuration hygiene by calculating a Security Score and highlighting configuration issues that may increase risk. Security Insights gives administrators a fast way to identify high-impact configuration issues, prioritize remediation, and improve overall security posture from a single Monitor page.

Security Insights analyzes the Tech Support Report (TSR) collected as part of each firewall's backup and evaluates configurations from the Configuration Auditor Template, surfacing both sets of findings in a single dashboard.

• This feature is available only at Firewall View.
• Security Insights is displayed for firewalls with the following licenses:
  • EPSS (for NSM Saas only)
  • APSS
  • Basic Reporting (for NSM Saas only)
  • Advanced Reporting
  • NSM Essential (for NSM Saas only)
  • NSM Advanced

  NSM On-Prem Firewalls with EPSS or NSM Essential licenses require the Advanced Reporting & Analytics Add-On license to enable Security Insights.

• It is supported for Gen 7 and Gen 8 firewalls.

To view the Security Insights page

1. Click Monitor in the top navigation.

2. In the left navigation pane, click Security Insights.

   

The page contains three summary panels at the top and a detailed Issues table below:

• Security Insights Score — overall Security Score and scan summary

• Issues by Severity — failed checks grouped by severity

• Issues by Type — failed checks grouped by configuration area

• Issues table — detailed list of current findings

• About the Security Score
