Licensing NSv in a Closed Network

Prerequisites

• A Gen 8 NSv S, M, or L virtual firewall deployed on a supported hypervisor (ESXi, KVM, Proxmox, AWS, Azure, or Hyper-V)
• An annual subscription license (APSS, MPSS, or Secure Connect)
• Access to MySonicWall (MSW) from a system with internet connectivity
• The firewall Serial Number (SN) and Authentication Code

To licensing NSv in a Closed Network

1. Log in to MySonicWall (https://www.mysonicwall.com/).
2. Navigate to the Register Products page.
3. Register the NSv appliance using the Serial Number (SN) and Authentication Code (Auth Code)

   For more details, refer to Licensing and Registering Your NSv.

4. Click on your product and navigate to Licenses tab.

   

5. Select the Add keyset to your product.
6. Click Copy to clipboard.

   

7. Log in to the SonicOS management interface and navigate to Device > Settings > Licenses.

   

8. Select Manual to upload the license keyset and enter the following:

   1. Serial Number

   2. Auth Code

   3. Registration Code

   

9. Click Apply.
