SonicWall TZ Series firewalls are designed for small and mid-sized organizations, and distributed enterprises with SD-Branch locations. The latest series delivers best-in-class performance at a low total cost of ownership. These next-generation firewalls address the growing trends in web encryption, connected devices, and high-speed mobility by delivering a solution in a desktop form-factor that meets the need for automated, real-time breach detection and prevention.
The SonicOS 8 TZ series, also known as Gen8, are highly scalable, with high port density of up to 10 ports. They feature both built-in and expandable storage of up to 512 GB, that enables logging, reporting, caching, firmware backup, and more. An optional second power supply provides added redundancy in case of failure on select models. Deployment of Gen 8 TZ firewalls are further simplified by Zero-Touch Deployment, with the ability to simultaneously roll out these devices across multiple locations with minimal IT support. Zero Touch allows for automated registration, configuration, and management of firewalls through the SonicWall Network Security Manager (NSM). This eliminates the need for on-site manual configuration, saving time and resources.
The SonicOS architecture is at the core of the next generation TZ firewalls. The Gen8 TZ Series firewalls are powered by the feature rich SonicOS 8 operating system with a new modern looking UX/UI, advanced security, and networking and management capabilities. Gen8 TZ features integrated SD-WAN, TLS1.3 support, real-time visualization, high-speed virtual private networking (VPN) and other robust security features.
