TZ Series Licensing

SonicWall has simplified licensing for the following Gen 8 TZ firewall models:

• TZ280

• TZ280P

• TZ280W

• TZ380

• TZ380W

• TZ480

• TZ580

• TZ680

The streamlined licensing tier provides the following options:

• A hardware-only SKU

  A hardware-only SKU is available for the above TZ firewall models. These devices can operate without any subscription; however, SonicWall strongly recommends adding security service licenses to ensure maximum protection.

  You cannot purchase a hardware-only SKU for the TZ80 firewall. The TZ80 model requires an active subscription to function.

• Advanced Protection Security Suite (APSS)

The APSS provides comprehensive features and services, including:

• Device Management – Centralized management for SonicWall devices.

• Reporting and Analytics: – 7-day reporting included, with options to extend retention to 30, 90, or 365 days.

• Security Services – Full suite of advanced security capabilities.

• Firewall Features– Includes Network Address Translation (NAT), Access Control Lists (ACL), High Availability (HA), Virtual Private Network (VPN), Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), and advanced routing.

• Managed Protection Security Suite (MPSS)

The MPSS is SonicWall’s most comprehensive security service bundle. It includes all the features of the Advanced Protection Security Suite (APSS) and adds:

• Full Firewall Management – Provided by the SonicSentry Network Operations Centre (NOC) team.

• Embedded Cyber Warranty – Additional assurance for your network security.

• Proactive Monitoring and Alerts – Notifications for offline devices or local configuration changes.

• Monthly Health Checks – To maintain optimal performance.

• Firmware Upgrades and Configuration Changes – Managed by the SonicSentry team at your convenience.
