• The identity provider (IdP) must return a Group Name attribute in the SAML assertion.

• The group names and user names provided by the IdP must exactly match the corresponding local user and group names configured on the SonicWall firewall.

• This exact match ensures that SonicWall can map the authenticated user to the correct local group and apply the appropriate security services.
