Intrusion Prevention Service (IPS) helps protect networks by detecting and blocking malicious traffic and exploits. When combined with SAML authentication, IPS applies intrusion prevention policies based on verified user identities and user groups.

Using SAML for authentication ensures that only authenticated users and their associated groups are subject to IPS policies. This identity-based approach reduces vulnerabilities, prevents attacks, and supports compliance while strengthening overall network security.
