Any Web resource—such as a Web application, a Web portal, or a Web server—can be defined as a URL
resource (they are specified in AMC using the standard http:// or https:// URL syntax). Examples include
Microsoft Outlook Web Access and other Web-based e-mail programs, Web portals, corporate intranets, and
standard Web servers.
Defining a Web resource as a URL provides several advantages:
Web traffic is proxied through the Web proxy service, a secure gateway through which users can access private Web resources from the Internet.
