The diagnostics feature helps troubleshoot network connectivity issues. It provides tools such as Ping, Traceroute, DNS Lookup, Network Info, iPerf, and TCP Connection. These tools allow you to verify network paths, resolve DNS problems, and measure performance.
To diagnose network connectivity issues
Navigate to More > Properties > Diagnostics.
On the Diagnostics page, use the following tools:
Ping – Tests connectivity to a specific host or IP address. It sends ICMP packets and measures response time to verify if the destination is reachable.
Traceroute – Displays the path packets take from your system to a destination host or IP address. It helps identify network hops and locate delays or failures along the route.
DNS Lookup – Resolves a domain name to its corresponding IP address. This tool helps troubleshoot DNS resolution issues and verify that DNS servers respond correctly.
Network Info – Displays detailed information about your current network configuration, such as IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS servers. Useful for verifying network settings.
iPerf – Measures network bandwidth and performance between two endpoints. It helps diagnose throughput issues and validate network speed.
TCP Connection – Checks TCP connectivity to a specific host and port. This tool is useful for verifying if a service (such as HTTPS or SSH) is accessible on the target system.
In the Host/IP Address, enter the Host/IP address of the destination network.
Select the interface: IPv4 or IPv6.
Click Start.
The test results are displayed.
