Registering the SMA Appliance

After you have installed and configured the network settings for your SMA appliance, you can log into the management console and register it to your MySonicWall account.

Registration is required to unlock full system functionality.

To register your SMA appliance:

1. In a Web browser, go to https://www.mysonicwall.com and log in with your MySonicWall username and password.

   1. Register the license using the serial number or activation key that you received while purchasing the product:

      For virtual appliance , once you provision the product in MySonicWall, the serial number is generated.

   2. Go to Products > click SMA appliance serial number > Licenses and download the license.

      The license is downloaded to your local machine.

2. In the browser, enter the IP address of SMA appliance along with a colon followed by the port number.
3. On the AMC login page, enter the username and password.
4. Click Login.

5. Navigate to System Configuration > General Settings > Licensing and click Edit.

   The Manage License page is displayed.

6. Under the Online Licensing section, click Register.

   A dialog to Register with MySonicWall is displayed.

   For new installations, the default is online license registration.

7. Enter the MySonicWall username and password.

   

8. Enter the serial number and authentication code from the license file.

   If physical appliance or virtual with license already applied, Serial number and Authentication code will be pre-filled.

9. Enter the Friendly name for the appliance.

10. Click Ok.

    The license is registered.
