Compatibility and Installation Notes

• Most popular browsers are supported, but Google Chrome is preferred for the real-time graphics display on the Dashboard.

What's New

• Introducing Security Insights: A new analysis engine, Security Insights, is now available from the Firewall View > Monitor page for firewalls with NSM Essential or Advanced Reporting licenses. It automates Configuration Auditor and TSR-based security analysis, assigns each firewall a risk score, tracks posture drift over time, and surfaces prioritized remediation guidance.
• Web Activity Report in Report Templates: Web Activity Reports can now be added to report templates, allowing admins to consolidate them with other reports into a single PDF.

• Firmware Upgrade Improvements:

  • A confirmation guardrail now prevents accidental bulk firmware upgrades, and upgrade status timestamps display in a standardized format using the user's local time zone.
  • A new status indicator on the Firmware page shows when an upgrade is requested, scheduled, or in progress, preventing admins from triggering conflicting upgrades.
• SonicOS Platform Support: Full NSM support, including configuration management, reporting, and analytics, is now available for SonicOS 7.3.4 devices.
• Migration App Support: The Migration App now supports migrating firewall configurations from SonicOS 7.3.3 to SonicOS 8.2.2.
• User Interface Improvements: Banner and warning messages have been redesigned so they no longer obscure key GUI elements.

NSM-39690	The Reconfigure Reporting and Analytics task failed with the error Please enter a valid firewall name.
NSM-39867	Scheduled daily reports were missing categories of data for specific dates.
NSM-39890	A firmware upgrade error occurred when using the Group By option.
NSM-40030	An error occurred when migrating settings from a TZ270 to a TZ380.
NSM-40172	The DPI-SSL Client Certificate dropdown did not list the new 2048-bit certificate.
