Requirements and Limitations

The following requirements and limitations apply to the transition to NSM.

• During the transition, flow analytics and syslog data stored in On-Premises Analytics is not moved to NSM. However, during transition you can add On-Premises Analytics as external analytics in NSM On-Premises which allows the user to view historical reports and logs stored in On-Premises Analytics from the NSM user interface.
• The transition process does not provision required licenses on NSM. This has to be performed by the user separately by following the existing NSM licensing workflow.
• NSM On-Premises supports reporting and analytics only for Gen 7 and Gen 8 firewall models. where as NSM SaaS supports all Gen firewalls.

• NSM does not support syslog based analytics reporting.

After a successful transition you cannot receive data from firewalls in On-Premises Analytics. Plan to use NSM after completing the transition process.
