How to enable Cloud Management for a firewall from MySonicWall.com

Description

SonicWall provides multiple options to manage a firewall e,g On-Box, On-Prem, and Cloud. This article explains how to enable the option to manage a firewall from the cloud portal - NSM or Cloud GMS. This feature allows the Firewalls deployed across multiple different sites to be managed from a Centralized cloud-based portal.

Resolution

NOTE: To enable cloud management for a firewall, a user should have access to the mysonicwall.com account under which the device is registered and the product must have an active Cloud Services license. 
 

1. Log in to the registered MySonicWall.com account.

2. Navigate to Product Management|My Products and click on the Serial Number of the device you wish to enable the Cloud Management for

3. Change the "Managed By" option to "Cloud" and click the green check mark to save
