SSLVPN user getting an "Error happens in tunnel negotiation"
Description
While connecting to the SSL VPN, the user gets an error "Error happens in tunnel negotiation".
Resolution
1. Make sure the Firewall firmware and the Net Extender is on the latest version (as per our releases on mysonicwall.com)
2. If not on the latest firmware, please follow this KB for the upgrade procedure How to upgrade firmware to latest version?.
3. To download latest Net extender version please Click Here.
4. After downloading the latest version of Net extender if you are still getting error "Error happens in tunnel negotiation". Please continue as below:
5. Open Cmd as adminstrator.
6.Run the command Reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters" /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d "32" /f
7. Reboot the PC
8. Open Net Extender, Navigate to Settings> Proxy Settings.
9. Make sure the option "Enable proxy settings" is disabled.
10. After making these changes we should be able to connect to the SSL VPN using the Net extender.
