Configuring HTTP Clientless Notification

The HTTP Clientless Notification feature notifies users when Gateway Anti-Virus detects an incoming threat from an HTTP server. This feature is supported for both Gateway Anti-Virus and SonicWall Anti-Spyware.

When this feature is disabled and a threat is detected from an HTTP server, the security service blocks the threat and the user receives a blank HTTP page. Because users are not aware of the threat, they typically attempt to reload the page. Enabling HTTP Clientless Notification displays a notification informing the user that a threat was detected.
