SonicOS 7.0 Internal Wireless

Mesh Setting

Mesh settings can be inherited from SonicWave Profile of default WLAN Zone (name: SonicWave).

From this page, you can view the mesh parameter but you cannot modify them directly, because the mesh parameter is read from the SonicWave Profile of default WLAN Zone.

To modify the mesh setting

  1. Navigate to DEVICE | Internal Wireless > Settings.
  2. Select Radio Role as Access Point & Mesh Gateway from the drop-down menu.
  3. Scroll down to the MESH SETTING section.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Make the necessary changes.

Modified mesh parameters are updated to the SonicWave Profile of default WLAN Zone or you can modify the profile of default WLAN Zone directly.

  6. Click Accept to save the settings.

SonicWaves with the same mesh parameter can be found by mesh gateway and synchronized to the firewall. Mesh parameters can be setup in standalone mode or set X2 interface as WLAN Zone, and connect the SonicWave to X2 interface. After the SonicWave becomes operational on firewall, disconnect the SonicWave from the firewall, the SonicWave try to find mesh networks now.
