Manually restarting the firewall using GUI and CLI

The SonicWall security appliance can be restarted from the web management interface(GUI) or the command line interface(CLI).

Using GUI 

1. Navigate to System | Restart.
   
   
   
2. Click Restart.
3. Click Yes when browser asks for acknowledgment and device will restart.
   

Using CLI

1. Login to CLI using SSH Client (i.e. putty) or console.
2. After Login, type restart command and press enter.
   
   
   
3. Type Yes or Y when it asks for acknowledgment and hit enter.
   
4. Now firewall will restart.
