When working with an O365 account, how do I route my outbound mail from O365 to HES?
To configure mail routing from the O365 server to Hosted Email security server, Start off on the O365 side of the configuration and create a send connector to point all outbound mailflow from O365 to deliver straight to HES.
Login to the Office 365 admin center, and go to Admin centers > Exchange.
Click the + symbol, and use the wizard to create a new connector.
From the drop-down menu select From: Office 365 and To: Partner organization:
Give a Name to identify the connector:
Click Next.
Click OK and click Next.
Select Route email through these smart hosts, and click the + symbol.
Add the below mentioned outbound hosted (respective to your location) in the smart host section,
For North American customers please use: usprodoffice365ou.com.outbound.snwlhosted.comOur new connector example will use the North America domain:
Select: Always use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to secure the connection (recommended) > Issued by Trusted certificate authority (CA):
On the confirmation page, verify your settings and click Next.
Now,Configure SonicWall HES to permit HES to relay outbound email from your O365 account to external recipients.
Sonicwall Hosted Email security is now ready to accept outbound traffic from your Outlook 365 server.
