How to check if my firewall is reporting data?

Description

We are not seeing any data under the NSM. This article will help us with the steps to check if our firewall is reporting any data.

Resolution for SonicOS 7.X

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.




Firstly, We must check if we can see data from firewall.


  • Navigate to Monitor  AppFlow | AppFlow Reports | Applications.

    TIP: If we are not seeing any data from this view. Please make sure Enable AppFlow to Local Collector is enabled.

  • Navigate to Device | AppFlow | Settings | Local Server Settings and  select Enable AppFlow To Local Collector.

  • To enable this option may require a reboot.

  • Navigate to AppFlow | FlowReporting | Local Server Settings and select Enable AppFlow To Local Collector
