One Year In, SonicWall’s MSS Evolution Is Just Getting Started

SonicWall’s first year in Managed Security Services (MSS) showcases a smarter, more flexible approach to protecting today’s evolving threat landscape.

When SonicWall acquired Solutions Granted, Inc. (SGI) in 2023, we weren’t just expanding our portfolio — we were making a clear commitment to Managed Security Services. Now, just a year later, the results speak for themselves: a 68% increase in MSS bookings, more than 17,000 additional endpoints protected, and a surge in recognition, including a leap from #55 to #14 on MSSP Alert’s list of Top MSSPs.

But this isn’t just about numbers. It’s about SonicWall evolving into a true force to be reckoned with in the managed security space — not by replacing the MSPs and MSSPs who serve businesses every day, but by centering everything we do around supporting them and making their jobs easier.

Built for the Way MSPs Work

What sets us apart in this space is a clear understanding of how MSPs operate. Rather than dictating a rigid stack, our co-managed approach to MSS offers partners the flexibility to integrate with their existing tools and workflows. Its MDR solutions support a wide range of EPP vendors — including CrowdStrike, Sophos, SentinelOne, Cylance, Windows Defender and SonicWall Capture Client — allowing partners to offer enhanced detection and response without disruption.

Going Global – Staying Local

Over the past year, we’ve also taken critical steps to ensure our MSS capabilities are built for a global scale. The launch of a fully staffed Security Operations Center (SOC) in EMEA marks a major milestone, enabling localized response and round-the-clock protection for partners and customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

It’s all part of a bigger vision: providing always-on, expert-backed security that allows MSPs to better serve their clients — especially those with limited internal resources. We believe businesses of all sizes should be able to have access to top-notch cybersecurity.

We aren’t planning on slowing down. The recent launch of SonicSentry MXDR brings even more firepower to our MSS lineup, delivering end-to-end managed detection and response across the entire attack surface. With MXDR, MSPs can offer proactive threat hunting, rapid response and comprehensive visibility — all backed by our expertise behind the scenes.
