This article explains about the readiness of SonicWall Capture Client general release
What is a General Release of Capture Client
SonicWall Capture Client supports 3 types of releases Feature Release, Maintenance Release and General Release. The Feature Release or Maintenance Release will be promoted to General Release.

Should I Care?
If you have set the Capture Client Policy to ‘SonicWall-Managed’ the clients are upgraded automatically when SonicWall promotes the Feature release or Maintenance release to General Release.

Note: All Capture Client versions below 2.0.28 will be removed from Client Installers page.
What should I do?
Customers will be notified well in advance to prepare for General Release and need to do the following
Customers who have set their Capture Client Policy to “Self-Managed” with a version lower than 2.0.28, it is recommended to modify as “SonicWall-Managed” or “Self-Managed” version of 2.0.28 or higher.
Customers who have set their Capture Client Policy to a “SonicWall-Managed” version, the devices assigned to the policy will be automatically be upgraded to 2.0.28

Note: If the device is offline then the upgrade of the software is triggered when the device starts communicating to management console.
