Preparing the Windows Server System
Before installing a SonicWall NSv Series virtual machine, prepare the Windows Server system:
- Install Windows Server 2016, 2019 or 2022.
- Install the Hyper-V Role in the Windows Server system. Refer to the instructions at: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/virtualization/hyper-v/get-started/install-the-hyper-v-role-on-windows-server
- Connect the Windows Server system to an external switch.
